Track and Field is in Full Swing

The GMTC Track and Field team has recently competed in the Badger Classic in Madison. There were some very good performances from our members. Next up for the club is UW-Whitewater on Jan 26th, Carthage College on Feb 2nd, and Northern Michigan on Feb 9th. If you are interested in competing please contact Ken for more information. Track and Field has begun!

The 2007-08 track and field season got underway December 1st as the team competed at the first UWM developmental meet. There were some great performances for the first meet, but there is still a lot of work to do. The next meet is Saturday, December 15th at UWM. It is another developmental meet, so if you're interested in trying a low caliber meet to see where you stand this far, this would be the one to participate in. Welcome back tracksters!!

Congratulations Eric Parker!

Fellow GMTC member Eric Parker has recently been inducted to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Athletic Hall of Fame. He graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 1983. While there he participated on the cross country and track and field teams. He ran on the Drake Relays championship 4X800m relay team and also ran on the (currently) school record holding 4X400m and 4X800m relay teams. In addition he was a 3 time All-American while on UWSP's team. Way to go Eric! It is an honor to have you as a teammate!
